2 Exciting New Ranges from New Zealand and Spain

Tim Morrison Fine Wines is proud to offer an exclusive and eclectic range of world wines.  In order to provide you with the greatest choice of quality wines, we are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting wines and producers.  In particular, we aim to source wines that are distinctive in terms of both quality and taste.  In our new Spanish Bodegas Castillo de Maetierra and New Zealand 3 Stones wines, we have found 2 such ranges.  We hope you like them too…

3 Stones

Available from the 1st of February, this collection of 3 Stones Estate wines is exclusive to Tim Morrison Fine Wines.  The range is comprised of wines from New Zealand’s 2 major winegrowing regions, Marlborough and Hawkes Bay.   With grape varieties partnered to vineyards and sensitive winemaking, the 3 Stones wines emerge with all the elements of modern, enjoyable wine.

With Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Hawkes Bay Riesling, Chardonnay, Merlot Cabernet and Syrah, the wines of the 3 Stones range are characterised by a fresh, fruity and zesty taste typical of the region. The range also signifies the unique growing conditions of Hawkes Bay’s warm sunny climate known for its outstanding varietals. Their soils range from fertile silty loams to free-draining shingle and produce balanced and complex wines whilst the grapes combine concentration and full ripeness with expressive aromas.

Bodegas Castillo de Maetierra

This range was sourced during a recent trip to Spain where the expert team at Bodegas Castillo de Maetierra prides itself on producing distinctive, exclusive, high quality wines.  Having tasted wines over the years from all over La Rioja, the team have identified four distinct geographical zones each with their own climate and soil type.  Grapes from each zone are selected and blended depending on compatibility and their ability to most heighten the desirable properties sought, taking the best of every region to create the perfect wine.  The Castillo de Maetierra wines are well rounded and highly complex and break the monotony and sameness which characterise many of today’s wines.  You can note the different characteristics of the terroirs from which each wine originated: the fruit, the potency, the elegance which all combine in perfect harmony.
